Projects: Restaurants

Meritage Restaurant

Restaurateurs Russell & Desta Maree Klein called on Flannery Construction to expand their already thriving restaurant in historic downtown St. Paul. The newly enlarged space adds 40 seats to the 80 seat restaurant and is host to a zinc oyster bar in a more casual brassiere atmosphere. Expansion of the kitchen to accommodate the new services was included in the scope of work. Flannery Construction worked closely with the owners, architect and building technicians to ensure the final product performed as planned and met all city and state requirements.

Heartland Restaurant

Heartland Restaurant owner, Lenny Russo, purchased approximately 18,000 square feet of commercial space on the concourse and first floor levels of the historic Market House building in Lowertown St. Paul. The concourse level houses Heartland’s primary storage facilities and walk in coolers. The largest of the coolers has a display window which allows patrons to observe meat cutting and charcuterie preparation. The first floor is comprised of a large atrium space that rises six stories to a rooftop skylight. The atrium houses Heartland’s display kitchen as well as the lounge and bar with seating for 50 guests. In addition, there are three chef’s tables situated on the balconies overlooking the concourse below and positioned directly across from the cooking line. Heartland is host to multiple private function spaces, dining room, lounge and the Farm Direct Market deli and café.
