Project Details
Designed by architect Carl Martel Neuhausen and originally built in 1885, 208 Bates is a pivotal site in the Dayton’s Bluff Heritage Preservation District. Its stone, brick, and iron first-story storefront and other historic features offer a glimpse into the building’s 19th-century past. Also known as the “Schacht Block,” 208 Bates is the only surviving Victorian-era commercial building on this block. Flannery Construction received a Historic Preservation Award for our work on this project.
