Project Details

Entrepreneur Houston White hired Flannery Construction to build and expand Camdentown, a Black cultural and commercial hub in North Minneapolis. The first phase of the project was a 700-square foot expansion that included the Get Down Coffee Shop and a retail store. Phase two was Camdentown Flats, a new construction, nine-unit, three-story residential complex offering market-rate 1BR and studio apartments with large windows and balconies and a community space on the ground floor. Flannery Construction worked closely with Houston to execute his design vision for the building with strong attention to detail and quality, incorporating many artistic elements like handmade backsplash tiles and a color palette inspired by African spices.
