Formerly the home of Our Lady of Angels Academy, a boarding school headed by the Franciscan Sisters of Belle Prairie, this roughly century-old building sat vacant for more than 30 years. The historic renovation work included retaining the existing brick masonry on the exterior and refurbishing the historic main entrance. Original staircases were maintained and restored, and the building is now fully ADA accessible.
The building is once again a pillar of this rural community. The 24 living units, which combine historic character and modern comforts, were filled within a month of the project’s completion.
