Offering Support through Giving Back
Supporting our community is a core value of Flannery Construction, and is built into our culture and how we recruit and hire team members. Employees across all levels and areas of the company serve on boards, help educate people entering our industry, provide mentorship and volunteer their time. And as a company, Flannery Construction provides pro-bono services and financial support for impactful nonprofit organizations, many of which are clients.
Board Service
Flannery Construction recognizes the impact our people and their respective expertise can have on the boards of organizations working to better the community. Current and recent board service experience includes The Midway Chamber of Commerce, the St. Paul Central Scholarship Foundation, and National Association of Women in Construction.
Education & Mentorship
Flannery Construction believes that sharing individuals’ expertise in both formal educational settings and informal mentoring relationships helps to nurture young talent, and encourage diversity in the industry. Flannery team members regularly teach courses at local colleges and trade schools, and provide extra guidance to students outside of class. They also provide mentoring and education to organizations like Lake Street Works by Urban Ventures, Summit Academy, Goodwill Easter Seals and others.
Financial & Pro-bono Support for Nonprofits
In addition to the large volume of work Flannery Construction does with local non-profits, the company supports these organizations with event sponsorships and attendance, and lending professional expertise to help projects stay on schedule and on budget.
